The clients requested a tiny home that would not feel confined despite its smaller size. They sought a design featuring two bedrooms and two bathrooms, including a mother-in-law suite with its own bathroom and kitchenette. Additionally, ample storage space throughout the home was a key priority.
We addressed these needs by designing an open kitchen and living room area with tall, sloping ceilings to create the illusion of larger spaces. A large sliding door was incorporated to seamlessly connect the interior with the exterior, further expanding the sense of space when open.
To meet the storage requirements, we included a mudroom with built-in storage at the entrance. In the kitchen, extra upper cabinets were added to maximize storage, along with an island/bench/table combination featuring storage around the base and operable benches for added flexibility. To further enhance storage capacity, we incorporated a loft at the back of the garage, along with a conditioned storage room.
