This week, we updated the façade of this home to accommodate changes in the floor plan. This led us to reflect on the many iterations we’ve gone through, and we wanted to share the process.

This week, we focused on designing ceiling treatments and integrating a skylight and transom window into the upstairs media room, located on the north side. We developed four distinct ceiling treatment options for the living and kitchen areas. The first option features beams in both the kitchen and living room, creating a cohesive, open feel. The second option builds on the first, adding a ceiling drop in the dining room to create a clear separation between the kitchen and living room spaces. In the third option, we introduce coffered ceilings in both the kitchen and living room, adding an elegant architectural detail. Finally, the fourth option combines coffered ceilings with a ceiling drop in the dining room, once again establishing a subtle division between the two main areas.

For this project we focused on providing color renders of the exterior to help the client better visualize the appearance of the house. Additionally, we provided white renders of the interior, offering options such as a pony wall or glass railing on the stairs and in the media room upstairs, allowing the client to choose the best option.
